And, just like in July, when Microsoft began flighting two separate of Windows 11 Preview builds for Insiders on the Beta channel for a staggered release, we get the same this month This is a really important day for <ocrpspft, as the tech giant has started rolling out Windows 11 version 22H2, or Windows 11 2022. One of the most notable changes is that the Windows Update tool will leave a smaller carbon footprint, as updates will be downloaded when more clean energy sources will be available. Now, however, let’s take a closer look at these Beta Channel builds and see what Microsoft has prepared for us today.

What changes does KB5017384 bring to Windows 11?

The Redmond-based tech company has just released an update with new builds 22621.601 and 22622.601 (KB5017384) to the Beta Channel for Windows 11 Insiders. There isn’t much to see here, as this isn’t a massive release, but we are going to check out everything that is happening with these two builds.

Fixes (build 22621.601 & build 22622.601)

Fixed the issue where clicking the network icon on the Lock screen would not work and would crash the Lock screen. Updated the start date for daylight saving time in Chile. It will start on September 11, 2022 instead of on September 4, 2022. Reduced the power that the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol uses on some devices when they are in Sleep mode. Fixed an issue that affects Dual SIM calling. If you select no SIM on your phone and initiate a call on your device, Dual SIM functionality does not work.

Known issues

Microsoft is looking into reports that audio stopped working for some Insiders in recent Beta Channel builds.

That’s pretty much all there is for the Beta Channel Insiders this week, with only a few fixes and a single known issue. This isn’t necessarily bad, as we are looking at fewer and fewer issues each month, which means that the OS is much more stable and reliable now.

What can I do if KB5017383 fails to install?

Be sure to report any other issues you might come across, in order for Microsoft to address and improve the overall OS experience for us all. There you have it, folks! Everything you can expect if you are a Windows Insider. Leave a comment below if you found any issues since installing this build.
