The Xbox Series X/S consoles have been a total success, although users complain a lot about the Series S performance, and things are looking really good for the company. However, there’s still a thing that gamers find extremely irritating, and the company still hasn’t found a way to stop it, even after a few years.
Xbox says it can’t do anything to stop this from hapening
Recently, users started reporting being bombarded with inappropriate content again, as we have seen it happen before, throughout the years. Spam bots are abusively sending porn links and other disgusting content to Xbox players via chat. This happens randomly and there’s no way of stopping it, apparently. Why do we say that, you ask? Because, even though Xbox said that spam bots have become a growing problem in the community, the company simply won’t take any action against it. That is the response that one of the gamers who reported the abuse received from the Xbox Safety team. Everybody knows that dealing with bots is on easy task, but one would think Microsoft would be capable of doing it. As we mentioned above, this problem is an ongoing one, and it has eluded developers and security experts for years, from the looks of it. The earlier reports go way back to before the Series X/S consoles were ever designed, so it comes as no surprise for many loyal fans. PlayStation players also have similar problems, so don’t go thinking that there’s an anti-Xbox campaign going on. Steam users will surely remember this, as the popular gaming platform also dealt with spam abuse years ago, with tons of players constantly receiving porn, illegal gambling, and other compromised links. Cyberbullying is no joke and big companies should consider investing more in combating such abuses among the community, thus ensuring a stable and less toxic environment. If this problem will be fixed anytime soon, it’s still hard to tell. Microsoft is, however, aware of the issue and is probably already concocting a cunning plan to stop these bots.
